Cohiba Atmosphere Opens in Macau
Located next to the Cotai Strip where the city of Macau thrives with numerous luxurious casino resorts, the newest and the first Cohiba Atmosphere in Macau was officially open on October 15th, 2024.
The grand opening of Cohiba Atmosphere Macau was attending by more than 70 guests, including Ms. Marina Domenech Mylnikova, the Cuban General Consul in Guangzhou, Ms. Dayli Torres, Business Development Director of Habanos, S.A. and Mr. Dag Holmboe, CEO of Pacific Cigar Company.
The ceremony began with the ribbon cutting ceremony and traditional Chinese Lion Dance to celebrate the inauguration. An unveiling ceremony of an H.Upmann Auction Humidor from the 19th Habano Festival in 2017 was also carried out to showcase this “Treasure of the Store”
During the inauguration, guests had the opportunity to enjoy the a demonstration of the art of rolling Habanos rolling conducted by an experienced Cuban master cigar roller and instructor from the Francisco Donatién Tobacco Rolling Factory in Pinar del Río, Mr. Javier Rodriguez who has been dedicating his careful work at the facility for 23 years.
The licensee of Cohiba Atmosphere Macau, San Son Wai Cigars Trading Company Limited, also operates the only La Casa del Habano in Macau which is designed in a mixture of traditional Portuguese and Cuban architectural styles.
To create a new cigar lounge with a different concept, Cohiba Atmosphere Macau is designed in a more contemporary style and decorated with rich elements dedicated to the luxurious Cohiba brand. Habanos are preserved in a walk-in humidor with an automated system to maintain the ideal temperature and humidity conditions. More than 50 lockers are set up in walk-in humidor for the use of its exclusive customers.
The lounge has a capacity of 35 comfortable seats to enjoy a Habano with a unique view to the golden buildings of Banyan Tree Hotel and Hotel Okura.
